Berry Burn Extension

The Berry Burn Wind Farm has been generating clean, renewable electricity since 2014.

Welcome to our project website.

We would like to tell you more about the project and ourselves. This website will be kept updated over the development period to keep you informed and hear your views and ideas.

We think there is potential to add an additional 10 turbines next to the existing Berry Burn Wind Farm, located south of Forres in Moray. The Wind Farm is operated and majority owned by Statkraft and has been operating since 2014. It is made up of 29 turbines, and in a typical year provides power for the equivalent of 44,400 homes.

In less than five years the wind farm has delivered nearly £860,000 to over 100 local groups and initiatives via the Community Benefit Fund.

We would like to share our plans and hear your views before we apply to the Scottish Government for consent.

Four public exhibitions were held between 21-23 March, view the exhibition brochure.

We hope to use this website to continue the conversation as we finalise the design. Please ask us a question or phone our project hotline: 0330 363 6229 (local call rates apply).
